about our research team
Florence is a final year MSci computing science student at the University of Glasgow. She has previously worked on KEPsoft (a piece of world-leading kindey exchange programme software) as a web development intern, and has also completed an internship sitting within the financial audit division of Deloitte UK. She is now focused on her Master's project, which is researching how tablet applications can be developed to facilitate bonding between humans and cats in cat cafes. She is a huge animal lover, and is keen to explore how technologies can be developed to promote stronger relationships between humans and other animals.

Leo is Florence's pet cat, who has been with her since the very start of her degree. He assists her with her research into how cats interact with tablet interfaces, by playing with games and watching videos. His favourite videos to watch are of squirrels and chipmunks. Although Florence is now working with a cat cafe to perform user studies, Leo is still vital to the project, as he is the initial tester for all media shown to cats during testing. He is paid handsomely in dreamies and tuna.
